A fact from Aras Dam appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 7 February 2011 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:

Specification
[edit]In the specifications section is states "At a normal water elevation of 7,775 m (25,509 ft) above sea level, ...". This is just wrong. From Google Earth we can see that the elevation is approximately 760 meters above sea level, so I guess the decimal place is in the wrong spot. I didn't fix it as I couldn't find an suitable reference.

Merge proposal
[edit]I propose to merge Araz reservoir into this article. Right now there is significant overlapping of these articles. Also, reservoirs are usually significant as a part of hydrocomplex created by the dam. Beagel (talk) 07:58, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
